Open trailers

An open trailer can be used for various types of cargo and can therefore be used multifunctionally. We have the Jumbo Groenewegen platform trailer in various axle configurations: 2-axle, 3-axle and even 4 axles. Often axles are mounted from the brand BPW, SAF, but also axles from the brand Valx and Jost are possible. The open trailers can be equipped with rigid axles. But if better accessibility and less tire wear is desired, the Jumbo Groenewegen trailer can also be equipped with a trailing fusee axle or with one or more rod steered rear axle(s).

The Jumbo Groenewegen can be used for all kinds of loads and especially for loads that are difficult to load in a curtainside trailer, such as wide loads, machines and all kinds of tools. It is also suitable for the transport of sheet material (wood / steel) and steel profiles which are loaded and unloaded with a crane. The trailer can also be equipped with various container pins, in order for a container to be transported.

If it is often necessary to unload in places where no unloading material is available, a trailer with a crane is an ideal solution. For example on a construction site, building material can easily be unloaded without the need for a crane or forklift. Jumbo Groenewegen has extensive experience with crane trailers and works together with renowned suppliers for the crane.

The rear of the trailer can be adjusted for a take-away forklift, whereby we always tailor the version to the brand of a type of take-away forklift whether this is a Moffet, Terberg or Kinglifter. We ensure that your take-away forklift fits on the trailer.

For the purpose of secure the load, a TUV certified headboard can be mounted. The trailer can be equipped with rods on the side and rows of rods straight through the load floor, so that an extra headboard can be mounted, and this also allows one to lock up long material, so that it cannot shift. The sides are often provided with various holes in the edge for the straps and with folding load eyes, which are provided with a TUV certificate. We have these eyes in various designs and strengths, so that we can deliver the right execution for your product.
